Electric Tobacconist and Totally Wicked: A Devilish Partnership
An exclusive agreement means all Totally Wicked vape gear is available only through our site for customers in the United States. It’s gonna be wicked!
Totally Wicked is one of the most awesome vape brands around, and one that has fans in many countries around the world who rely on the company’s innovative and top-quality vaping gear and e-liquids to stay off cigarettes and remain far healthier than if they were still smoking. Now, in an exciting development, we have teamed up with the amazing people at Totally Wicked to offer all their incredible vaping products via our US online vape store.
Electric Tobacconist USA is, in fact, now the exclusive US retailer of the incredible Totally Wicked range of e-liquids and hardware, and to celebrate, we’re giving 20% off all Totally Wicked orders throughout April.
As Totally Wicked says, “Vaping and the products we and other vendors sell are transforming the centuries-old habit of millions.” This could not be truer. Finally, there is now a real and effective solution to winning the battle against smoking and all the millions of lives it ruins around the world each year, leaving a devastating trail of human destruction because people just were not able to overcome their addiction and lost their lives as a result. It has to stop.
As the health authorities in the UK and elsewhere say, following detailed research in recent years, vaping is almost entirely harmless compared to the health risks of smoking cigarettes. Nicotine, which is all that smokers really want, is not the enemy and is only a small component in toxic, and deadly, cigarettes, and getting it via vapes, which don’t burn tobacco, is turning out to be a real life-saver. Electric Tobacconist and Totally Wicked are both proud to be at the forefront of helping to promote vapes and get people off cigarettes. It’s our joint mission, and goal, and that’s why we couldn’t be happier to form a strategic partnership.
The United States’ Peculiar Approach to Vaping
It never ceases to amaze us how incredibly differently the authorities in the US and the UK view the entire and rapidly growing world of vaping. In the UK, as we’ve just mentioned, the authorities have wholeheartedly embraced vaping as a highly effective way to give up cigarettes — an ongoing struggle for millions of people because they just cannot seem to let go, and other cessation methods, like nicotine patches, sprays, and gums, haven’t done all that much for them.
But in the US, it’s a different story, and the health authorities here are not just turning their nose up at e-cigarettes but looking at banning them altogether. This presented an enormous obstacle for Totally Wicked when it operated physical vape stores in the States as well as running an online retail operation, and in the end, it proved far too problematic. As such, we are delighted to step in and offer our online vape store as the sales point for Totally Wicked customers all over the States.
Why, we both want to know, is the US seemingly happy to allow its adult citizens easy access to products that kill — cigarettes, in this case — while attempting to stop them from getting their hands on products that will help to save their lives — vapes? Some states have already banned most flavors in e-juice because they fear they may be aimed at minors or that teens are attracted to them due to all the many fruity and other flavors they contain. This is despite reputable online vape stores, where a great deal of folk get their vape gear, having strict age-restriction measures. Our British and American sites, for instance, were developed with the latest technology, and with several layers of verification, to make sure that no one who is underage can buy our products. This is the way it should be, and mostly is, throughout the US and elsewhere.
Neither the good people at Totally Wicked nor we are naive enough to say that some teens are not vaping, because they certainly are, just as they’re also smoking cigarettes, and don’t care about the obvious health risks — ones you would think the more educated youth would be more knowledgeable about. Certain members of the younger generations will always rebel, with cigarettes, alcohol, and whatever else. They always have done, and they always will, because for some it’s a rite of passage into adulthood, and it’s folly for anyone to think they can stop it. It’s clear that most teens are not, however, smoking or vaping, and that the problem is a minority. For proof of this look around you, and ask your kids and their families.
It’s also, we think — that would be both us and our good friends at Totally Wicked — foolhardy to ban most flavors in vape liquid when smokers who quit by using vapes, because of the enjoyable taste of the many great flavors, would be deprived of what they’re used to and use to stay off cigarettes. We wrote a blog last year about the many thousands of vapers who told the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) during a consultation period that they desperately wanted to keep their e-liquid flavors because they were helping to keep them off cigarettes. “I am writing this in regards to [any] flavor ban on e-liquids. If it wasn’t for the different types of candy-style flavors, I would still be smoking today,” said one man at the time. “The fruity candy flavors are what helped me switch from smoking to vaping.”
Man Who Was on a Vaping Mission
Yet this is what the all-powerful FDA is suggesting it might do — try to take away the flavors that vapers enjoy because they may end up being vaped by teenagers and young adults. “The changes I seek would protect kids by having all flavored [electronic nicotine delivery system] products (other than tobacco, mint and menthol flavors or non-flavored products) sold in age-restricted, in-person locations and, if sold online, under heightened practices for age verification,” the regulator’s chief, Scott Gottlieb, said last November.
This had been the commissioner’s focus for much of his time in office, conjuring up additional regulations for the vaping industry to try to stop young people from using e-cigarettes. Now, however, Gottlieb is gone, having suddenly — and somewhat surprisingly — stepped down from the FDA in early April for family reasons, and gone back to his former home at the American Enterprise Institute, where he is expected to work on health policies and the price of drugs.
Whether Gottlieb’s successor will devote as much time and energy to the vaping sector is anyone’s guess, and so we will just have to wait and see. In the meantime, an acting commissioner has been appointed to oversee the federal agency — Dr. Norman Sharpless, who is leaving his post as a director at the National Cancer Institute.
Keep Calm and Carry On Vaping
For now, all we can say is that the American vaping sector, unfortunately, remains in a state of flux, with more states considering imposing bans and the government mulling its own restrictions. Happily, vaping is still permitted in most places, and equally great is the fact that you can get all your cool Totally Wicked supplies here at Electric Tobacconist USA. Although Totally Wicked has ceased trading directly in the US, as of this month, it is still making its amazing and top-quality vaping hardware and fantastic e-juices, including its renowned Patriot, Red, and Titan lines.
That won’t change, and we’re thrilled to have partnered with this leading vaping manufacturer, which, like us, has its roots in the UK, and we promise to provide our high levels of support and care to all Totally Wicked’s devoted customers across the United States. The Totally Wicked US site is still available, but from now, it’s being redirected straight to our online vape store.
