What does “adult signature required” mean?

As a result of the PACT Act, all orders must be shipped with adult signature required upon delivery. An ID will be required upon delivery.

Can someone else sign for my package if I’m unavailable?

Yes, any adult at the delivery address who is 21 years of age or older may sign for the package.

Am I able to opt-out of “Adult Signature Required”?

No, unfortunately, you are not able to opt-out of adult signature required. As a result of the PACT Act, the Electric Tobacconist is unable to ship without adult signature required.

How old do I have to be to purchase products from this site?

Under the Tobacco Control Act, you must be 21 years of age or older in order to purchase electronic cigarette/vaping products from this website.

How does Electric Tobacconist age verify customers?

We reserve the right to use third-party age-verification systems, in accordance with federal law. Veratad provides Electric Tobacconist with an online age verification service delivered in real-time. Veratad Technologies, LLC (Veratad), a New Jersey-based, privately held, online Age and Identity Verification Company, is a provider of online Age Verification, Identity Verification and Knowledge-Based Authentication Solutions for those who conduct business on the Internet or any business that needs to verify an individual’s age or identity.

What information do I need to provide during checkout for age verification purposes?

• Full name
• Billing address
• Date of birth
• Last 4 digits of your SSN

What happens if I do not pass age verification?

If you cannot provide an SSN or credit card/billing address verification is unable to match you to our third-party database, then you will be unable to complete your order.

Dual Verification

If you are creating an account in one of the following states, then you must pass third-party verification and upload a copy of your identification for review:

*When shipping to Delaware, the address on your ID must match the address you use to age verify your account.

Your identification must clearly show your name, age, and shipping address. If proper identification cannot be given, then your order will not be accepted.

Electric Tobacconist is committed to youth prevention and is constantly improving and strengthening its checkout process in order to restrict underage and bulk purchases. By restricting bulk purchases on our site, we are preventing consumers from reselling to others who have potentially not been age verified.
